2013 LONG ISLAND CUP
Congratulations to the GU14 Sachem Thunderbolts, for their 3-0 win over the Hauppauge Blue Lightning, to advance to the Semi-Finals of the LI Cup. Their next game will be May 19th. Keep up the great work, girls!
FALL 2012 SYSL SPORTSMANSHIP WINNERS
SYSL girls volunteer at LI Cares Food Bank
Girls from various SYSL Travel teams got together and volunteered their time at Long Island Cares Food Bank. The girls sorted out and boxed food and filled pallets to be delivered. The girls also sort out and distributed clothing. This was a wonderful day for the girls.

Travel Program
Objective:
To provide a place for the more advanced player (fourth grade and older).
Description:
Travel teams are formed for the more advanced player. Selection to a Travel team requires a large commitment on the part of the player and parent. SYSL Travel teams are registered within the Long Island Junior Soccer League, which is the organization governing all travel soccer teams on Long Island. This program requires that you will have to travel throughout Long Island to neighboring clubs for any away games on your schedule. Although travel soccer is a competitive program, our goal is to focus on development, respect, team unity and sportsmanship. Teams are selected via "Try Out" process every June.
2012 COLUMBUS DAY TOURNAMENT
Congratulations to the following SYSL travel teams for their success during Columbus Day Weekend: BU11 BULLS(1st place East Islip Fall Classic). The following were played at Northport: GU11 SPEED(2nd place), GU12 EXPLOSION(1st place), GU13 BLAST(1st place), GU14 THUNDERBOLTS(2nd place), and the SURGE(2nd place). Great work to everyone that played this weekend!

Travel Team Fund Raising:
Please contact your Travel Trustee to reserve an Intramural Sunday.
Teams now have the availability to utilize the fields on Intramural Sundays to aid in the fundraising for their teams. Teams should send a brief email to the travel trustee with the following information: Date / Time requested, Name of team members that will be coordinating the event and item(s) requesting to sell on the field. Once approved... you will receive a confirmation email. Lot's of luck.
